Jack Henry Connect 2025: Our Takeaways from San Diego

At a Glance:
The Zelus team just returned from Jack Henry Connect 2025, and we couldn’t be more energized by what we heard, saw, and experienced. This year’s conference was all about rethinking how banks can modernize while staying true to their core mission: building relationships.
Branch strategy is back in focus
For years, the industry has been consumed by digital transformation. At Connect, the conversation shifted. Executives and bankers told us the same thing over and over again: digital is essential once the account is open, but it doesn’t replace the fact that most accounts are still opened in the branch. The future lies in balancing digital convenience with in-person trust.
What we heard from bankers
Throughout the week — at booth #1231, during breakout sessions, and at our rooftop happy hour — one theme stood out: banks want to save money, make account opening/maintenance simpler, and introduce faster ways to serve customers without losing the personal touch.
They’re asking:
- How do we make branches more efficient?
- How do we free our staff to act as advisors, not processors?
- How do we modernize without losing what makes us unique?
Where SNAP makes the difference
That’s where SNAP (Simple New Account Platform) comes in. Our conversations confirmed that SNAP is solving the pain points bankers feel most in the branch:
- Streamlining account opening so it’s fast, consistent, and friction-free.
- Modernizing maintenance so updates don’t derail the customer experience.
- Freeing branch staff to focus on meaningful conversations that build loyalty.
Looking ahead
Jack Henry Connect reinforced what we’ve believed all along: branches aren’t dying — they’re evolving. The banks that thrive will be the ones that invest in their in-branch experience and enhance the delivery of services.
To everyone who visited our booth, joined us at Level 9 Rooftop, or shared their perspective — thank you. Your insights are helping us shape the future of SNAP and, more importantly, the future of in-branch banking.
👉 The bottom line: The future of banking won’t be won by the flashiest app. It will be won in the branch — and we’re here to help make that happen.
